Challenge

The New York State Psychiatric Institute (NYSPI) wanted healthcare practitioners to navigate or facilitate discussions with patients so that patients could participate in deciding the course of treatment. The need was for a solution that would explain and encourage the use of a specialized technique called Shared Decision Making (SDM).

Solution

To demonstrate the application of the SDM technique in real-life situations, we worked on a role-play-driven intervention. The main design consideration was to help learners engage with the content and apply the SDM technique in their daily practice. Working with NYSPI, we arrived at an innovative solution comprising a mind map framework, infographics, character illustrations, and role-play examples.

• Made it easy for the learners to absorb the main message by building a strong foundation of basics before diving deeper into its practical applications.

Challenge

The Senior executives found it difficult to navigate negative remarks about the company. Recognizing this, there was a need to empower all employees, including senior leadership, with effective communication tools for discussing sensitive work-related topics with friends and family.

Solution

Interactive films, combining live footage and animations, guide learners through relatable situations with reflective questions. Responses are categorized, offering subjective perspectives on serious discussions. The correct answer unfolds as a conversation, ensuring clarity and capturing nuances.

Developing eLearning modules to bolster the flipped classroom model, ensuring students acquire a foundational understanding before delving into comprehensive tutorials. The goal was to establish a shared knowledge base, promoting effective participation in face-to-face sessions that focused on higher-level objectives.

Solution

Identified essential pre-requisite learning outcomes, meticulously crafting media-rich modules. These modules employ static graphics, animations, and audio narration to explain foundational medical concepts. Interactive practice questions were strategically placed to reinforce comprehension, enabling students to master technical content crucial for subsequent classroom discussions.
